Katie Riles
Lead UX/UI Designer

Hello, I am Katie and I love to create art! I am a user experience and user interface designer with a not so secret love of crafting.

I was born and raised in New Orleans then decided to go to Mobile, Alabama for college. I knew I wanted to be a graphic designer from the start, then I took a few business classes and loved them too. So, I decided to do a double major, because… why not.

After graduating and getting a job with a web development company I quickly realized, web design and development was where I saw myself. Using my knowledge of color theory, layout and design I figured out quickly that UX/UI design and development was the place I wanted to be. Nothing feels better than seeing your design go from a concept to a wireframe to prototyping to live and having it all work. One of the things I love most about working on the web is that it is a constantly evolving environment, designs are always changing and updating based on the needs of the user and being able to identify what is not working and fixing it is a great thing and something in the design field that is unique to web design.

I truly enjoy web design, marketing and keeping up with the latest trends but I am, also, extremely interested in the management side of things. I love leading a team of designers and developers working together to create something. After working with a web development company with fortune 500 clients, a full-service digital advertising company with a mix of small and large business clients and working directly in house for a large corporation, seeing how they handle their marketing and advertising. I have a variety of experiences under my belt and I am ready for the next step in my career. My knowledge of business development, ad world experience, marketing know-how and fine arts training have all contributed to the designer I am today, and I am excited to see what’s next.
